Patna. A major accident has taken place in Patna, Bihar. Many people are reported to have been buried under a wall that collapsed in Punpun area of Patna. At least 25 people are said to have been buried under the wall collapse in Punpun area. Police and members of the relief team have reached the spot. About 5 dozen women are reported to be injured in this accident.
After the accident, the work of evacuating people is going on at the spot. Many people have been pulled out of the debris while many people are still buried under the debris. With the help of villagers, the police is taking the injured to the hospital. The condition of some is said to be critical. Among these, the condition of 20 to 25 people is said to be extremely critical. A large number of women and children are also included among the injured.
It is being told that in Shripalpur, there was an old ancestral house of former college principal Ramdayalu Singh. People had organized a satsang program in the same house and 50-60 women had gathered there. The old house collapsed due to which about 80 people got injured. With the help of local people, the injured have been admitted for treatment.
After the accident, there was chaos and people from Punpun rushed for rescue. In a hurry, people called ambulances and started sending everyone to the hospital. Ambulances had to be called from nearby block hospitals to take the injured. On receiving information about the accident, Punpun police station also reached the spot. SDO and BDO, CO also reached there and started rescue work along with the local people.
