Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 9 medical officers with an aim to make health services more efficient and effective. These include transfer of 5 Chief Medical Officers (CMO) and 4 other health officers.
New Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) have been deployed in five districts on Saturday. Dr. Haridutt Nemi has been made CMO of Kanpur, Dr. Sunil Tewatia of Muzaffarnagar, Dr. Surendra Kumar Singh of Auraiya, Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh of Shravasti and Dr. Arun Kumar Tiwari of Prayagraj. Including these, a total of nine officers of Joint Director grade have been transferred.
Dr. Mahavir Singh Faujdar, who was till now posted as CMO of Muzaffarnagar, has been made senior consultant in the district hospital of the same district. Dr. Sunil Kumar Verma, former CMO of Auraiya, has been made joint director in the Directorate General of Health Services, Dr. Ashu Pandey, CMO of Prayagraj, has been made the joint director of Prayagraj division of Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department and Dr. Alok Ranjan, former CMO of Kanpur. Has been made Additional Director of Saharanpur Division of Medical Health and Family Welfare Department.
Recently, Dr. AP Singh was suspended from the post of CMO of Shravasti. Orders for their posting have been issued by Secretary, Medical and Health Ranjan Kumar. The purpose of these transfers by the state government is to improve health services and make the administrative structure more effective.
