New Delhi. Today in the capital Delhi, a person tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire at the roundabout in front of Rail Bhawan located at the new Parliament House. It is being told that the person named Jitendra is a resident of Uttar Pradesh. The police is investigating the entire matter. However, it is not yet known why the person set himself on fire.
According to the police, the injured have been taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. He is said to be burnt up to 60 percent. This person set himself on fire inside the roundabout in front of Rail Bhavan and the new Parliament. It was told that after setting himself on fire, the person jumped over the railing of the roundabout and reached the road between Rail Bhawan and New Parliament House.
Security personnel present around the Parliament said that the person had set himself on fire near the Railway Building. After that he started running towards the Parliament House. Initial investigation has revealed that Jitendra, a resident of Baghpat, UP, set himself on fire at Rail Bhawan intersection. The local police and railway police along with some people extinguished the fire and sent the youth to the hospital.
His burnt bag and some papers have been recovered by the police. Currently investigation is going on. Only after investigation will it be revealed why this person set himself on fire and why did he set himself on fire near the new Parliament building? The answers to all these questions will emerge only in the police investigation.
