New Delhi. Manish Sisodia did not get relief even on Wednesday in the CBI case related to Delhi Liquor Policy. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia appeared in Rouse Avenue Court today through video conferencing. After this, the court has extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia till May 30.
Earlier, Manish Sisodia is also in jail under judicial custody till May 21 in the ED case related to Delhi liquor scam case. On Wednesday, when the judicial custody hearing of Manish Sisodia was going on. Then the lawyer of the accused told the court that the case is to be heard on May 24 in the Delhi High Court on the petition challenging the decision to start the trial on framing the charge.
Let us tell you that Delhi High Court has banned the commencement of hearing on framing of charges in the CBI case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had already arrested Manish Sisodia while investigating a case related to alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD). He is currently in judicial custody in both the cases (ED and CBI).
Let us tell you that voting for Lok Sabha elections is on 25th May in Delhi. Now the next hearing will be on May 30. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja had extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in the ED case. Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi on March 9 last year in the liquor policy case.
