A month after saying goodbye to the Bembé orchestra, where she managed to record great hits, singer María Grazia Polanco will launch her solo career. In this way, she seeks to follow in the footsteps of several artists who also began their careers as part of a group.
Maria Grazia Polanco promises to give her best
María Grazia Polanco, who also hosts ‘Domingos de fiesta’, expressed her gratitude for this new stage in her life and promised to give the best of her work and talent to the people who have always trusted her.
“I’m here with a great desire to learn and I have my feet firmly on the ground to make a place for myself in the competitive music market,” said Polanco, who years ago had a romance with Álvaro Rod.
The singer of ‘Amigos no por favor’, ‘No me conviene’ and ‘Me cansé de ser la otra’ also indicated that her talent can be exploited further. “I am very grateful to the people who give me their support and backing. I have a lot to learn as a soloist, I am eager to give the best of my work to my fans,” she added.
Maria Grazia Polanco releases her first song
The launch of María Grazia’s solo career comes with the song ‘My life without your love’, which premiered last Thursday, August 22, and is now available on all digital platforms.
The popular singer and TV host said that she chose to do a cover of ‘Mi vida sin tu amor’ because she is a fan of Cristian Castro. But she stressed that the song, which already has thousands of views on YouTube, has her own stamp.

“I really like the song and I’m sure all my followers will like it. The video clip has already been released on my YouTube channel. The production was very nice and all of us involved are very excited,” the salsa singer told La República.
When is Maria Grazia’s solo release?
After several days of preparing her show, the long-awaited day has arrived. This Friday, August 23, will be the official presentation of María Grazia Polanco as a soloist. The show will take place at The house of salsa in the district of La Victoria.
For this first show, María Grazia Polanco and her orchestra are preparing a very varied repertoire, where the artist exploits her experience and her good performance on stage that she has gained over the years. “My repertoire ranges from the best of current salsa, I explore my romantic side, among many other surprises. A complete show for all those who want to have a good time,” says the singer.
Maria Grazia said goodbye to Bembé
Since she was 13, María Grazia Polanco wanted to be part of the artistic world. At a young age, she was already working in small shows; but it was in February 2018 that she managed to join the Bembé orchestra, where she gained fame and established herself as a salsa singer. For all the beautiful moments, the artist dedicated a special thanks to the group.
“This is not a goodbye, this is a new beginning of wonderful things with God’s blessing, I love you all. Today I say goodbye to a great family, the one that saw me grow up, with whom I shared dreams, with whom I went to many stages and great moments that I will never forget. With whom I laughed, dreamed and cried,” she said.
