Chennai. India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Friday said it posted a net profit of Rs 3,716.5 crore in Q2FY24.
In a regulatory filing, the company said its revenue stood at Rs 35,535.1 crore and net profit at Rs 3,716.5 crore (Rs 2,061.5 crore) for the period ended September 30.
The company sold 5,52,055 units in the quarter as against 5,17,395 units sold during the same period last year.
According to Maruti Suzuki, during Q2FY24, its goods, staff, depreciation and other expenses declined compared to Q2 last year.
Margins improved due to softening commodity prices, cost-cutting measures, better recovery and reduction in other expenses.
Shares of Maruti Suzuki reached Rs 10,770 after opening at Rs 10,459.95. Later the share reached the range of Rs 10,758.
