The national Paralympic team player and the Khor Fakkan Disabled Club player, the Emirati Paralympic champion Maryam Al Zeyoudi, described her victory in the Best Paralympic Athlete category, within the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports 2024, as the best achievement in her sports career, and that it is a motivation to continue excellence and achieve new achievements that contribute to raising the UAE flag over the world. This coincided with the ceremony recently organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Al-Zeyoudi told Emirates Today: “I feel extremely happy for this distinguished award, which is the first distinguished award in my sporting life, and the greatest happiness is that it is in the categories of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports, which is an award that will serve as a great and new motivation for me to achieve a qualitative breakthrough.” In the field of sports work as an athlete, as well as an effective contribution to spreading the culture of practicing sports among women in general and people of determination.”

The athlete, Maryam Al-Zeyoudi, came in fourth place in the Paris 2024 Paralympics last September in the athletics competitions, achieving a distinguished achievement for the UAE and for female citizens globally.
Al-Zeyoudi touched again on her ambition to get a job to work close to her place of residence in the city of Dibba, especially since she has a university degree, so that she can live two happiness, as she put it, and give credit to her family who supported her, stood with her, and encouraged her to play sports and win.
She confirmed that accepting to work in a place far from the Khor Fakkan Club for the Disabled means that she will give up practicing sports, and this is something that cannot be sacrificed.
She revealed that she is strongly preparing for the upcoming participation in the Fazza International Championship, organized by the Dubai Club for People of Determination, and the Sharjah International Forum Championship, organized by the Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, in addition to international competitions with the national team.
