Mastercard and the KHL held a New Year’s Match on Red Square in Moscow. One of the main goals of the hockey meeting is to raise funds to help the wards of the Life Line Foundation.
“A big important goal for us is, of course, to draw attention to the social project – this is our joint project with the Life Line Foundation, within the framework of which we collect funds for the wards of the foundation, and we expect that we will attract maximum attention to this project , to the fund and to the problems the fund deals with, ”said Svetlana Voloshenko, Marketing and Communications Director of Mastercard in Russia.
The teams “Friends of the KHL” and “Friends of Mastercard” met on the ice. They include players of the Women’s Hockey League, sports legends and show business stars.
“We are very pleased to be a beneficiary of the New Year’s Match on Red Square, because hockey is the most courageous sport, and people who love hockey – people who play hockey are courageous people, and courageous people always help those who who needs it, and this is priceless. The very unique case when something invaluable can be done with the help of Mastercard “, – said Andrey Karpenko, Vice President of the Life Line Foundation.
The match took place with the support of the Center of Attention platform created by the Moscow government to help initiatives in the area of social responsibility.
“We realized that, of course, the city can do a lot, but without our partners, without our business, without our funds, we will absolutely not be able to cope. And today we are just an example of such a first offline project, when both business partners and our foundations are involved in such a charitable cause, because Moscow is a city of those who are not indifferent, “added the Chairman of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the city of Moscow Ekaterina Dragunova.
All proceeds from the match will help seriously ill children.
“We understand that hockey comes from childhood, including this help for children and the opportunity for a large number of children to touch in one form or another to our favorite sport, so we always encourage our clubs to do this,” concluded the vice KHL President for Marketing and Communications Sergey Dobrokhvalov.
Fundraising is open on the fund’s website until December 31.
