New Delhi. Mayawati has expressed her first reaction on Sunday after the crushing defeat of BSP in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra elections. Talking to journalists, BSP supremo has alleged rigging in the elections. She (Mayawati) also said that unless the Election Commission takes strict steps to stop it, BSP will not contest any by-election in the country.
She (Mayawati) also said that the party will fight the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections with full strength. Now this work is being done quite openly, especially in the by-elections along with the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections in the country. We have seen all this in the recently held by-elections of Uttar Pradesh.
Mayawati further said – In this case, there is little protection in the general elections. Because due to the fear of change of power, the government machinery does not put much pressure and fear on the public in the general elections. Therefore BSP will contest the general elections in the country. Our party will contest the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections and local body elections in the country with full preparation and strength.
A lot of voices are being raised regarding this even in the general elections held in the state of Maharashtra. This is also a big alarm bell for our country and democracy. In such a situation, our party has now decided that unless strict steps are taken by the Election Commission of the country to stop the casting of fake votes in the country, our party will not contest any by-election in the country. The party will fight with full strength in the general elections.
