Paris: Kylian Mbappe has been appointed as the new captain of the national football team of France. The head coach of the football team, Didier Deschamps, appointed Mbappe as the captain of the French team. The 24-year-old Mbappe has been chosen for the position as Hugo Lloris, who was the captain earlier, announced his retirement from international football matches.
Ever since France won the 2018 World Cup, Mbappe has been a star player winning over fans. Mbappe has been the focus of attention since the World Cup in Qatar.
The reason was Mbappe’s incredible performance in the final game of the series. The Argentina team led by Messi won the title. It was a title they got after 36 years. But Mbappe intimidated Messi.
While Argentina dominated the first half of the final match between France and Argentina, in the second half, France’s star player Mbappe played well in the last minutes to tie the match 3-3. However, Argentina won the penalty shootout. Mbappe received the same amount of praise from the fans as Argentina who won the final. Even though Argentina won the World Cup in Qatar, it was Mbappe who got attention.
In this case, coach Didier Deschamps has announced Mbappe as the captain of the French football team. This has also been confirmed by the French Football Federation.
