The presentation of the candidates was held last weekend, where Mayor Joaquín Ramírez Gamarra highlighted the importance of the participation of children’s and youth queens. This carnival, which will run until Sunday, March 9, seeks to highlight the cultural wealth of Cajamarca. The burgomaster said that this year an increase of 30% is expected in the arrival of visitors, thanks to the hospitality and enthusiasm of the Cajamarquinos.

Who are the candidates for the title of Queen of Carnival 2025?
The Carnival of Cajamarca 2025 promises to be a vibrant and colorful event, with 23 candidates that will represent various neighborhoods in the choice of Miss Carnival or Carnival Queen.
The candidates who will compete for the Carnival Crown 2025 are: Ariana Vanesa Villena Polanco (Mollepampa), Kristtel Marily Guevara Goicochea (Samana Cruz), Astrid Fabian Revilla (San José), among others.
The other candidates who will play the carnival crown are: Alexandra Valeria Benites Soto La Merced); Sophia Gabrielle Díaz Camacho (Nuevo Pueblo) and Camila Alejandra Zorrilla Alcántara (San Sebastián). Each of them proudly represents their neighborhood, contributing joy and talent to this celebration.
When will the Carnival Queen 2025 be crowning?
The appointment will be on Saturday, February 22, starting at 7:00 pm, in the Coliseum of the Gran Qhapaq Ñan complex. Tickets to see the choice of Carnival Queen 2025 are on sale in Joinnus and prices vary from S/10 (general) and S/30 (preferential).
