President of the National Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahceli, commenting on the results of the second round of presidential elections in Turkey, said that everyone should respect the expressed will of the people, reports Anadolia.
Emphasizing that the Turkish people wrote history today, and that they embraced their goals for the future with their pure will, Bahceli said:
“According to the incomplete results, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan was elected as our 13th president. Everyone should respect the expressed will of the people,” said Bahceli at a press conference at the MHP headquarters.
Bahceli said that it is evident that no one can ignore the very striking fact that Turkey has achieved a high level of democratic standards.
“At the same time, it showed the will to merge the vision of Turkiye and the Turkish century while preserving the honor and dignity of its existence,” Bahceli said, adding:
“Our people did not allow the politics of slander and denial to pass. Again, our people did not allow lies and brokers. It was also proven that our national future deserves victory, not humiliation. The world united against us, but the Turkish people won.”
Bahceli added that the presidential election on May 28 broke the global siege, and Turkiye preserved its shine, like a star.
“The Turkish century is ahead of us, the strength of the future is Turkiye. The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey has been crowned,” said Bahceli, adding:
“Today, all 85 million citizens of Turkey won. Today, everyone who carried the flag of the oppressed, national unity and brotherhood in their hearts won. Hugs, reconciliation and love won. The losers are villains, bloody whims, treacherous and crippled intentions.”
