The Polish national team has had its main goalkeeper for many years. We are, of course, talking about Wojciech Szczęsny. The experienced goalkeeper has not left a certain level for a long time and we are talking about extremely high form. We all know that he makes mistakes, but he saves his teams more often than making them lose simple goals.
However, behind Szczęsny’s back, there is a competition for who will take over the number one shirt after the experienced goalkeeper decides that his time in the Polish national team has come to an end. Among those who can step into his shoes are mainly Kamil Grabara and Marcin Bułka. The name of Bartłomiej Drągowski also appeared, but this one only plays in Serie B.

Kamil is also sure of a big transfer, because he will be a player from the summer of 2024 VFL Wolfsburg.
However, Michał Probierz decided not to call up these two for the October training camp of the Polish national team. In their place, the new national team coach found a place for Łukasz Skorupski and Bartłomiej Drągowski. If Skorupski’s appointment is still substantively defensible, because we are talking about a goalkeeper who regularly plays at Serie A level.
The choice of Drągowski, who plays for Spezia at the Serie B level, is incomprehensible. It is not difficult to find a deeper meaning in this case.
