Microsoft is preparing a new feature called Auto Super Resolution with which performance in video games will be improved.
This new feature of Windows 11 has appeared in the latest beta of the PC operating system, and according to the description that appears in the options menu “it uses artificial intelligence to make compatible games run more fluidly and in better detail.”
Initially, Auto Super Resolution is expected to be included in the next major update of Windows 11, version 24H2, and its function will be similar to that of Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR technologies, improving the frame-rate by rescaling using techniques AI at high resolutions from native rendering at a lower resolution.
The launch of the 24H2 version of Windows still does not have an exact date, but it is scheduled for the second half of 2024. This update will apparently be focused on including new functions related to fashionable technology, artificial intelligence, and will even introduce a new key to open Copilot with a single press.
