Cellfast Wilki Krosno wants their facility to be more modern, nicer and more functional. The city received funds from the Polish Order (PLN 18 million), and the local government will contribute almost PLN 2 million. As we read in the results of the government competition, a modern indoor grandstand with a capacity of 1,000 people is to be built for less than PLN 20 million. The gas network at the facility will also be rebuilt.

It will be a huge building with facilities and administrative rooms (technical rooms, offices, cloakrooms, bathrooms, conference room). The stadium is home to not only the speedway club, but also the Karpaty football club from MOSiR.

The current covered stand has been a sight for years. After all, it was established in the 1950s, in 1951 to be precise. She is 72 years old and can easily be called a relic of the past. And now it’s about replacing it with something more modern. This new covered stand is to be connected to the one on the first curve, which was built before the 2023 season. There will be a tunnel for technical vehicles in the connector between the stands. The characteristic referee tower will also disappear from the stadium, as the referee room will appear in the top floor of the new stand.

Skyboxes are to be a new feature at the stadium. Wilki will be the third club, after ebut.pl Stal Gorzów and H.Skrzydlewska Orle Łódź, to have such rooms. However, the ones in Orel are not beautiful, and the ones in Gorzów look worldly. They have only one drawback, namely one toilet on each level.

This year, Wolves’ matches were watched by a full crowd. There was even an overflow at the meeting with Platinum Motor Lublin. However, the official attendance record for the 2023 season is 7,000. After modernization, more people will be able to enter. 7.5 thousand, or even better, because the skyboxes will also have their own space.

Construction is scheduled to start immediately after the end of the 2024 season. The grandstand and skyboxes will be ready in March 2025. Wolves are already a showcase of Krosno, a window to the world. After this modernization it will be almost world class.
