Neelakantheswara temple has a lot of history.. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Neelakantheswara. This temple was built by the Kakatiya dynasty in the 15th century. Locals consider it one of the oldest temples in the region. This temple is built in Dravidian architectural style.. This temple was renovated in 2000.
Lord Shiva is worshiped in the form of Neelakantheswara in this temple. There are also many mandapams in the temple complex. The mandapas are also decorated with carvings and sculptures depicting scenes from Hindu mythology.
