Misleading Qur’anic verses were dropped on a taxi; Action against the driver in Kuwait

Kuwait takes action against taxi driver The police arrested him and confiscated his vehicle. The Home Ministry said in a statement that action had been taken against him for illegal activities. The nationality of his arrest and his name have not been released.

The driver dropped a verse from the Hood chapter of the Qur’an in the back of the car. In the Qur’an, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked his son to board his ark during the Flood of Noah’s time. ‘My son, get in the car with us; Do not fall among the disbelievers’ was the saying of Prophet Noah. Authorities say the driver dropped the sentence on his car in a way that showed those who did not get in his vehicle were atheists.

The Kuwaiti police have registered a case against the owner and driver of a taxi company following the incident. The case against them is that they have misused the verses of the Qur’an. It is not clear what action will be taken against them.
