Chandipur: The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Army have successfully conducted six tests of a surface-to-air missile. The missile was fired from the Integrated Test Center at Chandipur near the Odisha coast as part of an evaluation test by the Indian Army.
During these trials the objective of rapid strike with precision aiming of weapons with sophisticated guidance and control mechanisms was accomplished.
After the success of this missile test, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praised DRDO and the Indian Army.
He expressed hope that this fast-launching surface-to-air missile would further strengthen the capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.
