New Delhi: In a poll conducted by Morning Consult, Prime Minister Modi has topped the list for the second time with more than 78 percent support among popular leaders in the world.
In the opinion poll conducted by ‘Morning Consult’, an American-based political intelligence agency, Prime Minister Modi has come first after pushing back US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The survey by Morning Consult was conducted from January 26 to 31. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at the top with 78 percent support among India’s adults, according to a poll of its leaders in 22 countries. He is followed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in second place with 68 percent support, and Swiss President Alain Perset in third place.
These approval ratings are based on a seven-day moving average of the over-18 population in each country. Sample sizes of respondents in polls vary from country to country. According to this survey, 18 percent of people in India disapprove of Modi.
Prime Minister Modi’s approval rating peaked at 84 percent in May 2020. His approval rating dropped to 63 percent on May 7, 2021.
Morning Consult conducts more than 20,000 interviews every day internationally. All of these interviews were conducted online with nationally representative adults in each country. The study participants in India represent the educated population.
