Egyptian star Mohamed Salah expressed his deep sadness and feeling devastated by Liverpool’s results this season.
Salah said on his official account on the social networking site “Twitter” that he was disappointed that Liverpool did not qualify for the Champions League.
“I am absolutely devastated, there is absolutely no excuse,” he explained.
He continued, “We had everything we needed to reach the Champions League next year, and we failed. We, Liverpool, and qualifying for the Champions League is the minimum.”
He added, “I am sorry, but it is too early to evaluate things positively or optimistically. We have let ourselves and our fans down.”
It is noteworthy that Liverpool qualified for the Champions League after Manchester United defeated its guest Chelsea 4-1 in a postponed match, so that United snatched the last cards that qualified for the Champions League.
