The auction was attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Racing Club, Sheikh Juma bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, alongside His Highness.
The auction included a number of two-year-old horses offered from Ireland and the United Kingdom, which are descended from the strongest and finest breeds. The auction witnessed a great participation from the owners from the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the region and from around the world, after the great competition witnessed in the first edition. The auction activities preceded a review of the horses offered in a fast run on the training track at the Dubai Racing Club.
The organization of the event comes days before the start of the 27th edition of the Dubai Cup, the most prominent and important event in the world in the field of horse racing, which confirms Dubai’s position as a world-class sports destination and a major center on the global horse sports map, with the participation of the world’s elite horses in the famous “Meydan” track, within An evening with prize money of $30.5 million.
