Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced today, Saturday, the election of the Supreme Council of the Federation, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as President of the State.
He stressed that “Mohammed bin Zayed is the shadow of Zayed and his extension in us… and the founder of the centenary of our state… and the protector of the fever of our union… we congratulate him, and we pledge allegiance to him, and our people pledge allegiance to him… and the whole country is criticized for him to take it on the paths of glory, glory and power, God willing,” according to what was reported by the agency. Today, the Federal Supreme Council elected my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as President of the State.

He also indicated that Mohammed bin Zayed’s assumption of the presidency represents a new historical era, adding that the UAE will start a new phase with a leader his people have known for many years.

In turn, the Political Adviser to the President of the State, Anwar Gargash, stressed that the smooth transition of power reflects the sobriety of institutional work and the advanced level of governance mechanisms and their stability in the Emirates.
He also pointed out that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed is an exceptional leader and national leader who is distinguished by wisdom, sound vision, and high standing regionally and internationally, adding that the UAE is moving forward with his leadership towards further progress and prosperity.

unanimous election
Earlier today, the Federal Supreme Council elected Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the State.
This election came unanimously and in accordance with Article 51 of the constitution, to succeed the late President Sheikh Khalifa.
It is noteworthy that the UAE announced yesterday, Friday, the death of the “empowerment leader” in the country, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, after a career of 18 years of prosperity.
