His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, witnessed part of the Emirates Women’s Tour 2023, the only global race of its kind in the Middle East, whose first edition competitions began today, Thursday, with the participation of 120 elite female cyclists. International women, among 20 teams, including 13 international teams and seven continental teams.
His Highness, accompanied by Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Chief of Protocol, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, followed the race as it passed through the Bukadra Bridge area in Dubai, where His Highness saluted the contestants, wishing success to all.
The first stage of the circumnavigation, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council over a period of four days until Sunday, February 12, started from Port Rashid in Dubai for a distance of 109 km, all the way to Dubai Harbor, where the race track passed through a number of the most prominent landmarks of Dubai.
