In an interview with América Noticias, Mónica Sánchez revealed that she was unaware of Marco Zunino’s situation until the moment of the conversation. When he found out, he did not hesitate to express his support for the actor and share words of encouragement. “No (I didn’t know), the truth is no. Ah! Marco Zunino reveals that he has cancer
The renowned film, theater and television actor Marco Zunino recently revealed that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer, a challenge he has bravely faced for five months. The popular ‘Cosito’ shared how he has managed to combine his artistic career with medical treatment, a process that, according to him, has allowed him to reflect and strengthen his spirit.
In an interview for the Día D program, Zunino recalled the moment he received the news, the same day he had a dress rehearsal for ‘Nubeluz: El reencuentro’. With serenity, he related: “I picked up the biopsy, and the doctor told me, ‘it’s positive, it’s cancer.’ I felt chills and said, ‘ok, what do I have to do?'” Although the emotional impact was inevitable, the actor stressed the importance of facing the situation and allowing himself to express his emotions: “I’m not going to lie, I cried, tears came out.”
The actor stressed that his diagnosis was possible thanks to a preventive checkup that he decided to perform, inspired by his colleague Christian Thorsen, who also faced a similar situation. Examinations revealed stage I cancer, allowing for timely intervention. After undergoing surgery to remove the tumor, he is currently undergoing immunotherapy treatment, which he described as as effective as chemotherapy.

Zunino expressed his gratitude to his friends for the support provided during the operation, even though he had initially asked them not to accompany him: “There was no way they wouldn’t go, I have a lot to thank them for.” He also stressed the importance of regular medical check-ups to detect diseases in early stages, as this considerably increases the chances of recovery.
