HiIn Darabad city and its surrounding areas, Himayat Sagar and Usman Sagar (Gandipet pond) reservoirs were flooded due to incessant rains (Hyderabad Rains). The authorities are lifting the gates and releasing the water downstream. Himayat Sagar took 12 wickets and Usman Sagar 8 wickets. With this, a flood poured into Musi. It is flowing dangerously on the roads in many places. Moosi river overflows 100 feet of road in Jiyaguda. The police closed the Musaram Bagh bridge near Amberpet due to the possibility of heavy flood flow. The locals were alerted. The flood is already flowing from the top of the bridge there.
Malakpet Circle Deputy Commissioner Jayant said that traffic will be stopped on the level bridge in Chadarghat if the Moosi river rises. He said that due to the lifting of the gates of Osmania Sagar and Himayat Sagar twin reservoirs, there is a possibility of a massive flood, and in this context the Musarambagh Chandni Bridge has been closed and traffic stopped.
