San Francisco. Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, run by Elon Musk, has said that so far in December, 10 million or more than 1 crore people have signed up for X.
“Over 10 million people have signed up for X so far this December!” he posted Thursday.
This comes after reports estimated that X could lose $75 million in advertising revenue by the end of the year. “Last month, dozens of major brands halted their marketing campaigns after the tech billionaire endorsed an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.”
More than 200 ad units from Airbnb, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Microsoft and other companies have paused or are considering pausing their ads on X, according to internal documents seen by The New York Times this week.
Last week, retail giant Walmart confirmed it would no longer be advertising on X. In October, data showed that X lost more than half a billion user visits in September, and the platform fell to seventh place behind Instagram in the global rankings.
According to new SimilarWeb data, X traffic dropped from 6.4 billion to 5.8 billion in September, a loss of 10 percent.
