Residents of Nizhny Tagil were active in voting for improvement projects planned for 2023. In total, about 419 thousand residents of the Sverdlovsk region took part in the voting, the press service of the administration of Nizhny Tagil reports.
At least 12 municipalities will receive a subsidy to bring the territories in order. We are talking about cities in which more than 20% of residents voted for the changes.
According to the regional Minister of Energy and Housing Nikolai Smirnov, quoted by TagilCity.Ru, the main principle of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” is the participation of the residents themselves, since reconstructing territories that no one needs is an irrational waste of money.
Voting ends in two weeks. So far, the first places in Nizhny Tagil are occupied by the Nizhne-Vyisky square and the pedestrian zone along the Chernoistochinsky highway.
Earlier it was reported that the authorities of Nizhny Tagil plan to allocate 72 million rubles for the manufacture and installation of a stele on the Railway Station Square, as well as the improvement of the surrounding area. The contractor must manufacture and install the City of Labor Valor stele. According to the project, the sides of the stele will be made of granite, while the front and rear facades will be made of frosted glass.
