In the Tver region, before the start of the tourist season in 2021, more than 50 guides and guides-translators were trained. All of them received certificates of professional development.
The course for active guides was organized by the regional ministry of tourism. The training program was developed by leading tourism experts. In particular, it included the study of changes in legislation, clarify “Tverskiye Vedomosti”.
As part of the training, representatives of the industry were told about the “Land of Military Glory” route, manor complexes of the Tver province, about famous figures who linked their fate with the Upper Volga region. The topics of the occupation of Rzhev and others were also discussed.
One of the main novelties in federal legislation was the introduction of mandatory certification for tour guides, guides-translators and guide instructors from July 1, 2022. In the Tver region, voluntary certification has been carried out since 2018, at the moment 178 specialists have passed it.
Earlier, the Institute for Social Research and Development of Civil Initiatives (ISIRGI) sent a letter to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a proposal to introduce state regulation of prices for hotel services, limiting their maximum value. As the director of ISIRGI Maxim Petunin explained, the Russian government will be able to change the established price limits annually, taking into account inflation.
