1. ₹244 crore cash recovered in Rajasthan in 15 days; New record of seizure of liquor, drugs, gold and silver

Rs 322 crore were recovered in Rajasthan in the year 2021 and Rs 347 crore in 2022. More than Rs 1,021 crore have been recovered in the state in the year 2023.
Before the assembly elections in Rajasthan, agencies have seized cash worth Rs 244 crore. This recovery took place in 15 days. Officers said that police, income tax and enforcement agencies have created a new record of seizure of cash, liquor, drugs, gold and silver. More than Rs 1,021 crore have been recovered in the state in 2023. This seizure is three times that of last year.
Why is this news important: There are elections in the state on November 25. The Election Commission has been working closely with all the agencies since the month of June. Since then Rs 648 crore in cash and other items have been seized. Police, Income Tax Department and other agencies seized cash worth Rs 39.30 crore. Apart from this, more than 10.60 lakh liters of illicit liquor worth Rs 20.12 crore was also seized.

2. Congress may change 5 candidates in Madhya Pradesh; Candidates protest on 47 seats
According to Congress sources, the party may change 5 candidates in Madhya Pradesh. Candidates of Pipariya, Amla, Sumavali, Shujalpur and Javra can be changed. Candidates are opposing a total of 47 assembly seats in the state. Regarding this, angry workers demonstrated at Kamal Nath’s bungalow in Bhopal. These workers are demanding change of candidate.
Why is this news important: There are elections in Madhya Pradesh on 17th November. Nomination has started from October 21, which will continue till October 30. 3. 5700 deaths in Israeli attack, half of them children; 6 hospitals closed due to fuel shortage in Gaza

Gaza’s Health Ministry said that more than 5,700 people have been killed in Israeli air strikes since October 7, about half of them children. Messaging platform WhatsApp has stopped supporting smartphones running on old operating systems. WhatsApp will not be supported in version 4.1 of the Android operating system. This app will now support only version 5.0 and above.

Angry farmers brought crocodile to office due to power failure
