Hamas claims that it fired more than 5 thousand rockets in 20 minutes.
Palestinian organization Hamas fired rockets at Israel. After this, Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu declared war. By late night, 100 Israeli civilians were killed in the Hamas attack. In response, Israel also attacked Hamas’ military compound and military headquarters in the Gaza Strip, killing 200 Palestinians.
Why is this news important: More than 1000 Palestinians have entered Israel. This has happened for the first time since 1948. PM Modi has said that India is with the people of Israel in difficult times. US President Joe Biden has also talked about helping Israel in every way.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has said that he will conduct a caste survey in the state. 3. List of Congress candidates in MP; Kamal Nath said – no decision yet, Pawan Kheda had said – will come by evening

Party President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were also present in the meeting held at the AICC office.
The list of Congress candidates for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh will come after 6-7 days. After the meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress in Delhi, State Congress President Kamal Nath said that discussions have been held on about 130-140 seats. No decision has been taken yet. There will be a meeting again. However, earlier Pawan Kheda had told that the list could come by Saturday evening.
Why is this news important: BJP has released 2 lists of its candidates in MP. But Congress has not declared the name of even a single candidate. The screening committee of Congress has finalized the names of 80 candidates. The committee has sent this list to CEC. This list includes the names of 60 to 65 sitting MLAs and 15 candidates from the lost seats.

4. National Medical Commission said- Doctors should not mislead the public through signboards and announcements.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has advised doctors to avoid misleading the public through signboards, visiting cards and announcements. The commission said that there should be nothing on the signboards and prescription papers of doctors except the name, qualification, title, specialty and registration number of the doctor.
What does NMC do: It is the top medical regulatory body of the country. The command of making all the policies related to medical education and medical services is in its hands. 5. Now Rs 2000 notes cannot be exchanged in banks, from today onwards they can be exchanged only in RBI offices.

The Rs 2000 note came into the market in November 2016. Then Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes.
The last date to deposit Rs 2000 note in the bank or exchange it for another note was October 7. From today these notes can be exchanged only in RBI offices. On Friday, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das had said that Rs 2000 notes worth Rs 12 thousand crore are in circulation, which are yet to arrive.
When did this note come into circulation: RBI has stopped printing of Rs 2000 notes from the year 2018-19. After demonetization in 2016, 56% of the fake notes detected in the next two years were of Rs 2,000 notes. Rs 2000 notes worth Rs 38 crore were destroyed in 2021-22.

6. India won a record 107 medals in the Asiad, 6 gold on the last day; closing ceremony today
India has won 107 medals in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China. These include 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze. India defeated Iran on the 14th day and won the gold medal of Kabaddi and also the gold medal of men’s cricket tournament. Today is the closing ceremony of the Asian Games.

9. Another lake in Sikkim on the verge of collapse; 26 deaths so far in the flood on October 3

Another lake in Sikkim is on the verge of breaking. Shako Chu Lake of Lachen Valley, located 135 km from the capital Gangtok, is in critical condition. The district administration has started evacuating people from danger areas. Earlier on October 3, there was a cloud burst, due to which Lhonak lake broke and caused flood situation in the state. 26 people died and 1200 houses were washed away.
Another reason for the breakdown of Lhonak Lake: Scientists fear that Sikkim’s Lhonak Lake was broken by the earthquake in Nepal. Its scope was reduced to one third. When the cloud burst the lake could not hold that much water. Due to this, the water level of Teesta river rose by 15 to 20 feet and caused floods.

The body of a thief was buried in America after 128 years. He died in 1895 in a prison in Pennsylvania, USA due to kidney failure.
