The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” revealed that Moroccan international striker Youssef En-Nesyri may face a suspension of four to 12 matches due to his “public” criticism of the refereeing after his team’s match, Sevilla, against Villarreal, which his team lost 3-2 last Saturday in the 36th round of the Spanish League.
En-Nesyri had a strong match and scored two goals for Sevilla, and after the match he attacked the referee, Isidro Diaz de Mira, saying: “We suffered a lot and lacked a little focus, but we also suffered with the referee, who had to manage the match well, and not bias the opponent. The last goal for Villarreal was “It should be called a foul in our favour.”
The newspaper explained that if Article 106 of the Spanish Federation’s disciplinary law is implemented, Al-Nusairi will be suspended for several matches, which may reach 12 matches.
Al-Nusairi is considered one of the most prominent Arab stars in European stadiums and one of the top scorers in the Spanish League.
