The Moroccan team overturned its goal to beat South Africa 2-1, on Thursday, in the first round of Group 11 of the African Nations Cup qualifiers in Cote d’Ivoire 2023.
The South African team advanced through Lille Foster in the eighth minute, before the Moroccan team managed to score the equalizer through Youssef Al-Nusairi in the 51st minute.
In the 87th minute, Ayoub Kaabi scored the second goal for the Moroccan team.
The Moroccan national team will play in the next round with Liberia at its stadium on June 13th.
It is noteworthy that Group 11 includes three teams: Morocco, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
