Six killed in Kadiri building collapse
A building under construction on Old Chairman Street in Kadiri, Anantapur district, collapsed on two buildings adjacent to the coolie. Eight people in one house and seven in another house were trapped under the rubble in the incident. Of the total 15, six died, including two children and a woman. Eight others were rushed to Kadiri Hospital for treatment.
Kamalapuram bridge collapsed ..
The bridge over the Papaghni river in Kamalapuram in Kadapa district collapsed. The bridge between Kamalapuram and Valluru collapsed after midnight, causing severe disruption to traffic. Four gates are being raised and left at the bottom as the Veligallu project is heavily flooded. This caused heavy flood water to flow to the edge of the bridge for two days. The bridge, which was torn apart by the floods, gradually collapsed. Nearly six slabs in the middle of the bridge cracked and sank inwards. More than seven meters of the bridge collapsed and vehicles were stopped about a kilometer away. Authorities are building a barrier to prevent traffic. It has been 44 years since the bridge was built, officials said. Officials say there is an alternative to this route, one on Kamalapuram-Vempalli, another on Kamalapuram-Proddatur and another on Kamalapuram-Khajipeta.
Natural disaster on Tirumala hill
Thirumala hill is a natural disaster. The major danger was averted by the advance denial of permission to the devotees on the Srivari Stairs, Alipiri walkway. Flood scenes can be seen everywhere in Tirumala Gir due to torrential rains. On the ghat roads, scary scenery can be seen along the stairway. Large boulders were broken in several places on the way to Srivari stairs. In some areas floodwaters are flowing down the stairs like waterfalls. Elsewhere huge trees were broken.

An old building in Kadapa city collapsed due to heavy rains. A two-storey building on the street opposite the Ramesh Theater collapsed suddenly just after midnight on Saturday. Chandrika and her daughter Tanushree were staying in the building at the time. Locals told police the baby was trapped under the rubble. Police immediately rushed to the scene and informed the fire brigade. Police and firefighters worked for two hours to save the mother and daughter by removing the window of the building. No casualties were reported in the incident and everyone was out of breath.
