YSR Congress Party rebel MP Raghurama Krishnaraju, who has been away from the Narasapuram constituency, where he has been representing as an MP for the last few years, is expected to come to his hometown for this Sankranti festival. No matter how many times they have tried to come to Narasapuram in the last few years, they keep getting postponed at the last minute. He refrained from coming to Raghurama constituency because of where AP police would arrest him.
However, this time they are taking precautions to come to AP. As part of this, MP Raghurama Krishnaraju filed a petition in the AP High Court to order the police to provide the details of the cases against him. When the petition came up for hearing on Tuesday, lawyer Umeshchandra heard arguments on behalf of MP Raghurama Krishnaraju. He stated that he has written a letter to the DGP to give the details of the newly filed FIRs along with the cases already pending in the state, but he has not received a response.
Raghurama Krishnaraju said in the petition that he decided to go to his parliamentary constituency during Sankranti festival. However, if they go to the constituency, the police may create an FIR and arrest them. That’s why lawyer Umesh Chandra asked the court to conduct an investigation on this matter immediately.
