Shabab Al Ahli player Muhannad Al Masmari was crowned champion of the first edition of the UAE Electronic Football Cup, a tournament organized by the UAE Electronic Sports Federation in Sharjah, after defeating Mohammed Bhatti, Ajman Club player, in the final match 5-1.
32 players from 16 clubs participated in the first Emirates Cup Championship, which was strong and exciting in all stages, especially in the semi-finals, where Mohammed Bhatti outperformed Ali Al Hammadi, a Khorfakkan player, with a score of 3-1. In the second match, Muhannad Al Masmari defeated Abdullah Al Mohammed, a Fujairah player, with three clean goals.
Saeed Ali Al Taher, Secretary General of the UAE Electronic Sports Federation, crowned Muhannad Al Masmari, the champion of the first edition, and Mohammed Bhatti, the second place winner, amidst a festive atmosphere, in the presence of Mohammed Al Madani, Chairman of the Federation’s Electronic Football Committee.
Al Taher expressed his happiness with the success of the first edition of the Emirates e-Football Cup and the wide participation of various clubs, noting that the competition will be evaluated and the clubs’ proposals for developing it in future editions will be studied.
Al Taher stressed that the UAE E-Sports Federation will continue to launch more initiatives and competitions to develop the e-games sector and attract talents.
