Mumbai: Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani is being hailed as the richest man not only in terms of bank balance, but also in showing a big heart. The reason why Ambani is so popular is the 1500 crore 22-storey house that Ambani has built as a gift to one of his employees.
The recipient of this lavish gift was Ambani’s close friend and known right-hand man, Manoj Modi. Close to Ambani family members, Manoj Modi studied Chemical Technology at Mumbai University along with Mukesh Ambani.
He has been a part of Reliance Group since graduation. By the way, Manoj Modi, who joined Reliance when Mukesh’s father Dhirubhai Ambani was running it, has been working with the Ambani family for more than 40 years.
Akash Ambani, Mukesh’s heirs now the third generation Ambani, mentors Isha Ambani and serves as director of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. Manoj Modi is also the mastermind behind the success of all the multi-billion dollar deals that Reliance has been doing recently.
As a result of this, Mukesh Ambani has now built a 22-storey bungalow worth 1,500 crores as a gift. Mukesh has built this bungalow in Nepean Sea Road, which is known as the premium area of Mumbai, not in a corner of Mumbai, but close to where he lives. The same area is home to big names including JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal.
Apartments in Nepean Sea Road are generally priced between Rs 45,100 to Rs 70,600 per sq ft. Currently, the total area of the Rs 1500 crore house that Ambani has built for Manoj Modi is 1.7 lakh square feet. Each floor of the 22-storey house is built on 8,000 square feet.
Named “Christian Vrindavan”, this house has been designed according to the wishes of Manoj Modi’s family. The first seven floors of the building are reserved for car parking. The 14th floor houses Manoj Modi’s office and the 15th floor houses a healthcare facility in a hospital setting.
Apart from this, facilities for playing, spa, party rooms, swimming pool, theaters are included. 175 domestic workers, the security of an Israeli company, updates about this house are now going viral. Earlier, after moving into this house, Manoj Modi sold the two flats he had previously lived in in Mumbai for Rs 41.5 crore.
