Issue details of BPCL bonus shares.
In December 2000 BPCL shareholder got one share bonus for another share. That means if that investor has one share, it becomes two (1 x 2). After that in July 2012 once again bonus shares were announced in 1:1 ratio. That means the two shares held by the investors have become four at the rate of 2 x 2. These four BPCL stocks then became eight (4 x 2) in July 2016. Similarly, in 2017, when the company announced bonus shares in the ratio of 1:2, these 8 shares became 12 (8 x 1.5). Since 2000 BPCL has issued bonus shares four times.. Investors’ wealth has increased 12 times.

With the issuance of these bonus shares, the wealth of BPCL investors also increased. If they had invested Rs 1 lakh in August 2000, they would have got a total of 6,667 BPCL shares at around Rs 15 per share. With the bonus shares issued from December 2000.. Currently, these BPCL shares have increased to around 8 thousand.
BPCL share price is currently trading at Rs.331.80 on NSE. With this, the wealth of this investor has increased to Rs.2.65 crore per lakh in 23 years. If the company had not issued bonus shares.. the investment of these investors would have increased only 22.12 times.. Rs. 22.12 lakh per lakh would have been received. But with the issue of bonus shares, the investors got Rs. 2.65 crores for the investment of Rs.
