The CPM party gave a shock to the Congress during the Manugodu by-election. CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said that they are supporting the ruling TRS in Telangana.

Speaking on this occasion, Tammineni Veerabhadram commented that although there is some enthusiasm in the Congress party after the arrival of Revanth Reddy, the party is losing due to internal quarrels. They are declaring their support to TRS with the sole aim of defeating BJP. He flagged that the central government was using the state institutions for political purposes. It has been decided to support TRS in the current situation in Telangana.
Khayani Tammineni Veerabhadram predicted that despite the strength of the Congress party in Munugodu, it will fall to the third position. He said that the main contest will be between TRS-BJP. However, the support for TRS will be only till the by-elections. They have made it clear that their struggle on public issues will continue. He said that he will meet CM KCR on Friday and bring the problems in the state to the attention of the CM. Tammineni clarified that the Congress and TRS parties had asked for support in the previous by-elections and they have decided to support TRS to defeat the BJP. While the CPI has already announced its support to the TRS, recently the CPM has also joined the party, so there are chances of the Congress party facing difficulties in the future.
