The Souss region is full of men who worked or are still working in silence. They are hidden stories of the successes of people who built themselves, started from scratch and proved that will is the first step on the ladder of success.
Hajj Muhammad Jaber Al-Samlali, one of the economic activists hailing from the Edawsamlal region, in the Tizint Province. Essami, born in 1952 in Douar, Tizi Imouchion, Edawsimlal tribe. Like other children in the region, he went to Al-Masid to memorize the Qur’an, write, and read, and when he reached the age of ten, he immigrated to the city of Casablanca.
There he completed his studies in modern schools that were not present in the roundabout, and learned the craft of goldsmithing and began selling wholesale, then he pursued a career in trade and business, and established a company for importing, international trade, and some industries, before choosing the field of real estate and establishing a well-known company.
Hajj Jaber was known for his love for collective work since his youth. At the age of 18, he founded the Sports Association of Darb Quraya in Casablanca, which cared for the sports teams of a large number of players involved in the Raja Sports Team, and he assumed its presidency despite his young age.
After he reached the age of 22, he became a member of a goldsmiths association in Casablanca. He spent 14 years, a task that made him think about the importance of collective work, and decided to move in the field for the benefit of his tribe, Edawsimlal. All he had to do was search for members of his tribe who were well-known figures and contractors residing outside the tribe, from In order to find a formula to achieve development, the matter settled after a year of thinking on the establishment of the Ihsaniyah Association of Edawslal in 1982.
An initiative that was considered the first of its kind in the region, it was a kinship bond between the people of Al-Dawar who had left the region for years and were still drawn to their town by nostalgia, even though the idea was not encouraging for some of the founders. In that period, establishing associations and getting involved in them raised the fears of many, but despite They gave their trust to Hajj Jaber and his companions, and he is considered the main funder of the association from his own money.
He is a role model and an example for the head of a family, not only a small one, but a large one as well. He created an association called “Jaber” that includes the entire family, including paternal uncles, cousins, and uncles…and provided each group (men, children, or women) of family members with financial support. To carry out activities, and encourage its youth to travel and discover the Edawsimlal region with its history, ancient origins and traditions.
Generosity and originality are the hallmarks of Hajj Jaber, as witnessed by those close to him. He is one of the few men who loves charity and supports the association, which plays a developmental role in the region and the suburbs, especially during Ramadan. Due to his love for the Amazigh culture, he contributed in many ways to reviving the Amazigh heritage.
The people of Souss were known for their love of education and their adherence to ancient schools, since the region had ancient schools in Boumerouane, Al-Azaza Al-Semlaliya, Inzkart and Tazmut, the founders of the association decided to repair and restore them by allocating 10 million centimes to each of them.
An amount that would not have been easy to collect, had it not been for the love of the benefactors for their schools and their keenness to continue performing their venerable tasks, and their attempt to break the isolation of their schools by building roads… to achieve a dream that has long been desired by the people of the region. The benefactors were spending generously, regardless of personal accounts, and the association was able to carry out a group of projects. In partnership with a group of partners.
The ambition of Hajj Jaber and his companions did not stop there. Rather, they thought about the necessity of providing the necessary facilities in the region, so he built a large mosque to hold Friday prayers and holidays with his own money, although he does not like to mention what he gives in his humanitarian work, as witnessed by Dr. Aisha Boudmaia, Dar Elg Governorate. Historical and a researcher in material and intangible heritage, he is an example of a human being, a father, and a self-made economic actor who must become Qaddoura.
Thanks to the association and its president, Edawsimlal became available to the student’s home to house the students of the sixth year, and the first clinic was equipped in addition to the Tizgran and Taghzift clinics… It also worked on many development projects… And the White Hands are still continuing their giving, which continues to urge the youth of the region to Following in the footsteps of their ancestors, sincerity in work and the will to climb the ladder of success.
