Motorized riflemen became the most demanded military registration specialty (VUS) with partial mobilization in Moscow. This was announced on October 11 by Colonel Maxim Loktev, deputy military commissar of the Russian capital.
“In Moscow, citizens with military registration specialties are recruited, which are necessary for the effective implementation of the tasks of partial mobilization, mainly motorized riflemen,” TASS quoted him as saying.
In addition, specialists from motorized rifle, coastal troops of the Navy, missile troops and artillery, railway and engineering units, and signalmen are in demand.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Ministry of Defense showed the training of motorized rifle units, consisting of mobilized citizens and volunteers. Training is taking place at one of the training grounds of the Western Military District (ZVO) in the rear areas of the special military operation.
For several hours they work out fire and tactical tasks there.
Earlier, on October 10, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that during the training of motorized rifle units, mobilized citizens and volunteers perform exercises in throwing combat offensive RGN grenades from cover, and also hone their skills in hitting targets from AGS-17 “Flame” grenade launchers at area targets at various ranges .
Partial mobilization in Russia was announced on 21 September. The decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader noted that the decision was made, among other things, to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
