The first group of pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina arrived at Sarajevo International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, returning to their homeland after performing the fifth Islamic duty, the Hajj, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, reports Anadolu.
The first Hajj pilgrims, 285 of them, arrived by flight from Jeddah to Sarajevo, where they were welcomed by their family members, neighbors and friends. The meetings of the pilgrims and pilgrims with their loved ones after more than three weeks of stay at the holy places were emotional, and tears were often observed. After arriving at the airport, some of the pilgrims decided to perform prostration on Bosnian soil.
Main guide Izet ef. Čamdžić told journalists that 285 pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina arrived in the first group, and their health condition is satisfactory.
“Hajjis are happy that they had the opportunity to perform Hajj, to stay in honorable places in the harems of Medina and Mecca. They joyfully met their homeland again, because wherever we are, here in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the most beautiful,” said Čamdžić, and added:
“All our pilgrims, all 2,205 of them, performed the Hajj. We successfully did it without any major problems.”
He added that after the first plane that landed in Sarajevo today, the following groups from Bosnia and Herzegovina will start arriving the day after tomorrow. Hajj with two planes a day.
“All BiH pilgrims should return on Saturday or Sunday,” added Čamdžić.
– Nana Fata Orlović: Today I was reborn-
With the first group of BiH. hajja and hajjinica, nana Fata Orlović from Konjević Polje arrived in Sarajevo today. When asked how she feels after completing the Hajj and returning to her homeland, she answered:
“Today I was reborn. I waited for this for 25 years and today I got it. Allah fulfilled everything for me and I finished everything, alhamdulillah. May Allah give all the good to my Muslims”.
When asked how she felt during her stay in the holy places in Mecca and Medina, Orlović said: “I finished everything easily, it’s all from the grace of God and as anyone has the will.” I am asking my people, if they are not going to do something with all their heart, let them not do it at all”.
The first group included Amel Omerović (38) from Srebrenik, who performed the fifth Islamic duty for the first time.
“Emotions are mixed. While I was there, the world was literally on a break. Worship, I am reborn. The atmosphere is totally different. I met new people, got closer to these people, we became like a family”, said Omerović.
And when asked if he could describe his first encounter with the Kaaba, towards which all Muslims around the world turn during prayer, Omerović answered briefly: “Tears”.
It was the same in Mecca and Medina. Because when you are aware that you are walking on a piece of land where the Prophet walked, it is fascinating. Your feet sink through the ground,” said Omerović.
Hajj is one of the five Islamic duties, which must be fulfilled by every adult man and woman who meet the conditions for it.
2,205 believers from Bosnia and Herzegovina performed the fifth Islamic duty, the Hajj, this year.
