Nancy’s son (23) died in an accident: “If you get into a car with drink and drugs, you are a monster”

When the 23-year-old Slovak got into the car, he had a murder weapon in his hands. So says Nancy Scholten. She is the mother of Darren van Velsen, who was killed two weeks ago on the Koningskade in The Hague. It is believed the driver was under the influence. “That is not an accident, that is a life crime,” says the Traffic Victims Association.
