Kannauj. In Kannauj, former SP block chief Nawab Singh Yadav was arrested on charges of rape. Nawab Singh’s DNA matched with the teenager’s sample. SP Amit Kumar Anand gave this information, saying that the DNA report confirmed the rape.
On 12th August, police arrested former SP block pramukh Nawab Singh Yadav for attempting to rape a teenager. At the time of the incident, the victim and the accused were in their school, Chandan Singh Mahavidyalaya. Police claimed to have made the arrest from the same room. The teenager had come with her aunt. On the complaint of the aunt, police registered a case under molestation and POCSO sections.
A woman from Tirwa tehsil area somehow reached Chaudhary Chandan Singh Mahavidyalaya with her minor niece late on Sunday night. Both of them stayed in a room here. During this time Nawab Singh (Nawab Yadav) was also present there. It is alleged that when the woman went to the bathroom, Nawab Singh Yadav (Nawab Yadav), resident of Adangapur, molested the teenager and tried to rape her.
Meanwhile, the teenager called the police on UP 112. The police arrested the SP leader (Nawab Yadav) from the college room. According to the police, when she entered the room, the former SP leader was in underwear. The police interrogated and brought the aunt-niece and the accused to the police station. The victim gave a statement of rape in the court. After this, a DNA test was done. The DNA report confirmed that Nawab Singh Yadav had raped the teenager. The SP said that now soon a charge sheet will be prepared and presented in the court.
