It has been decided to increase the entry ticket prices to improve the maintenance of the park, staff salaries, and make the park better. This zoo is running under the Telangana Forest Department. It also ranks among the largest parks in the country. There are all kinds of birds, animals and snakes in this park. Spread over an area of about 380 acres, this park is known as a popular tourist spot in the city. Around 1500 species of animals are present in this park. This zoo park was opened in 1963.
To enter the tiger zone in the zoo, a separate ticket needs to be purchased apart from the entry ticket. Food items are available in canteens inside. Although the number of visitors to the zoo has decreased due to recent rains, the number of tourists will increase if the temperatures rise again and the sun begins to shine.
