The couple from Rostov-on-Don, who are accused of killing their eight-month-old daughter, constantly quarreled and held feasts, and the head of the family used drugs. On Sunday, April 30, the neighbors of the couple told Izvestia.
“I hear a scream, and she, with a child behind him, behind this husband, runs along the common stairs, she almost knocked down my child. I went to her, began to calm her down, her hands were shaking. She says he is a drug addict,” said one of the neighbors.
According to the woman, she invited the mother of the deceased girl to seek help from relatives, but she said that her husband did not listen to them. After that, the women exchanged phone numbers and agreed to call each other in emergencies.
Another neighbor noted that the crying of a child was constantly heard from the apartment of a married couple. At the same time, the spouses often quarreled, shouted at each other and at their daughter, but quickly reconciled. She also added that her neighbors were most likely drunk people, feasts were held in their house, the sounds of fights were heard.
The arrest of a married couple for the murder of an eight-month-old baby became known earlier on Sunday. Investigators found the remains of the child during the inspection of the place of residence of the spouses. Before that, they turned to the police, trying to pass off the murder as a kidnapping.
The Oktyabrsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don arrested the spouses. A criminal case was initiated under paragraphs. “c”, “g” part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor committed by a group of persons”). The defendants will remain in the pre-trial detention center until June 28.
