The ministry said that at the invitation of Chinese State Counselor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Dr. Khadka is visiting China from August 9 to 11. The two ministers will hold bilateral talks on August 10 in Qingdao, China, leading their respective delegations. Wang will host a banquet in honor of Khadka and members of the delegation, the statement said.
The visit comes days after Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi issued a statement in Kathmandu on Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. We believe that Nepal will continue to adhere to the one-China principle, understand and support China’s legitimate and just position, and work closely with China to protect each other’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity. .
The ambassador said, China highly appreciates Nepal’s long-standing commitment to the one-China principle and resolute opposition to Taiwan independence. It is also the political foundation of China-Nepal relations.
