New road to be built from Delhi to Gurugram: CS gave instructions to make proposal; In view of the increasing traffic, the government took the decision

The Haryana government will build a new road to directly link the country’s capital Delhi. Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal has given instructions to prepare the proposal for this new road project. The government has taken this decision keeping in view the increasing traffic between Delhi and Gurugram. With the construction of this road, the traffic between Delhi and Gurugram will be further facilitated.

The Chief Secretary gave these instructions while presiding over the meeting of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority to discuss the issues of road connectivity between Delhi and Haryana.

More contact routes will be considered
Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said that the movement of most of the people of Haryana to Delhi is increasing. Apart from NH, it is very important to have other connectivity routes from Gurugram, so the authorities should prepare special plans for several connectivity routes. The CS instructed that this plan should be prepared at the earliest.

Yamuna Canal Link Road will be handed over to Delhi Government
The CS said that the Yamuna Canal Link Road between New Delhi’s Indralok Metro Station to Narela should be handed over to the Delhi Government for construction till the Haryana border. Apart from this, a DPR proposal should also be prepared for the link road connecting Mehroli to Gurugram road with NH 236 through Delhi Ridge along with Nelson Mandela T-Point near Vasant Kunj flyover.

Apart from this, proposals should be prepared on the road from Sector 114-115 etc. of Gurgaon, 75 meter wide link road to Gurgaon and Najafgarh along with the link road to Delhi so that these road projects can be implemented.
