Short video service TikTok is testing a new feature that allows users to create avatars for profiles using artificial intelligence technology.
Social media consultant Matt Navarra was the first to spot the feature and posted about it on Twitter with screenshots and videos showing how it works.
The feature creates headshots that closely resemble familiar images created by Prisma Labs’ Lensa AI app.
Similar to the (Linza AI) application, the new feature asks the user to provide 3 to 10 images and then choose from 2 to 5 different AI image styles.
It will then generate up to 30 separate avatars in a few minutes. You can then upload a single photo, or multiple photos, to use as a profile picture or in stories.
