New Delhi: The Commonwealth Games will be held in the UK from July 28 to August 8. The competition was held in Delhi to select Indian boxers for women’s boxing. In the 50 kg weight category, world champion Nikath Zareen defeated Haryana’s Meenakshi 7-0.
Lovlina Borgo Hein defeated Pooja 7-0 in the 70kg weight class. Similarly, in the 48 kg weight category, Nithu defeated Manju Rani 5-2 and Jasmine defeated Parveen Hooda 6-1 in the 60 kg weight category. All four have been selected to participate in the Commonwealth Games.
