Desk. The bail hearing of ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, arrested in Bangladesh, has been postponed to next month. The bail application of Chinmay Das was to be heard on Tuesday but due to no lawyer appearing on his behalf, the court postponed the hearing till January 2.
On Tuesday, the Chattogram court adjourned the proceedings after lawyers refused to appear on his behalf during the bail hearing. The court has now fixed the next date of hearing as January 2, 2025. For information, let us tell you that Raman Roy, the Bangladeshi lawyer who was hearing the case of Chinmay Krishna Das, was attacked by Islamic fundamentalists and his condition is now critical.
Chinmay Das was arrested on sedition charges last week while protesting against the increasing attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus. Actually Chinmoy Das was going to Chittagong to participate in a rally. Charges of treason have been filed against him. After this, India had also expressed objection to the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das.

ISKCON Kolkata spokesperson Radharaman Das also wrote a post on X in this regard, saying, ‘Please pray for lawyer Ramen Roy. His only ‘mistake’ was defending Chinmay Krishna Prabhu (Chinmay Das) in the court. The Islamists vandalized his house and brutally attacked him, and left. He is in ICU and fighting for his life.
